Bushfires hit Victoria

This past weekend has seen tragedy strike Victoria. Intense heat and powerful north winds fanned flames and left communities ravaged. It’s Monday morning and we have heard of 108 deaths and this toll is expected to rise.

The CFA posts updates helping to alert communities about  areas facing potential threat from the fires that are still burning. Weather conditions are milder, but thunderstorm activity in some areas brings with that the possibility of lightning strikes that could spark further fires.

The Federal and State Government are rallying to support those who have been affected by the fire. The Red Cross are coordinating fundraising efforts from the general public so click the above link if you feel that you can support this appeal in any way.
