Donating TC Bushfire Appeal Money

Toorak College has raised an amazing $12,500 for the Victorian bushfire victims and this amount continues to increase.  TC plans to donate the money to Chum Creek Primary School to rebuild their playground. Chum Creek Primary School captured our hearts when they were featured on the front page of the Age newspaper on Tuesday 17th February. Two students were pictured holding up a bright yellow makeshift banner to replace the school sign which was destroyed in the fires. Amongst the blackened trees and charred ground lie the molten ruins of playground equipment.

Toorak College plans to keep strong links with the 31 students who attend Chum Creek Primary School. The Primary School will be invited down to the Mornington Peninsula to share a picnic and spend the day with students from Wardle House which is the Primary section of Toorak College. Hopefully, soon we will be looking at a brightly coloured photo of a brand new playground at the Chum Creek Primary School.
